A richer history

Works Progress was founded by Max Greenberg in 2015, we are furniture focused design and manufacturing company with the goal of providing locally manufactured, quality furnishings for home and office as well as custom creations to suit a wide range of needs. Since its foundation, Works Progress has been a part of commercial and residential projects throughout the Philadelphia and tri state areas.Through the use of traditional joinery, CNC machining, and modern production techniques, we can offer locally manufactured goods at an appropriate price point. All work is produced in our Port Richmond workshop with locally sourced hardwoods, by Max Greenberg, a native New Yorker who has called Philadelphia his home since 2003 and has been making furniture professionally since 2005, producing his own designs while working for some of the foremost furniture shops in Philadelphia and New York City.
